Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan Announces Continued Growth in Metro Detroit Adding New Physician and New Location

Southfield, MI – Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan (OSM) has welcomed Dr. Christopher Chow to their growing team of eye care specialists, now totaling 10 doctors. In addition, the group has also added a new location in Southfield, MI providing more access for patients with eye related problems in Metro Detroit.

Dr. Chow brings more than 20 years of experience to OSM as a respected Cornea and & External Diseases specialist in southeast Michigan. He earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he also spent a year at the National Institutes of Health doing research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar. After completing his ophthalmology residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School, he served a fellowship in Corneal and External Disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami. Dr. Chow is a recognized speaker and author, both nationally and internationally and has been involved in several national research studies that have sought new ways to diagnose and treat corneal and external diseases. Dr. Chow will see patients at OSM’s Madison Heights, Dearborn and Southfield locations.

The new Southfield facility (located at 29201 Telegraph Rd, Suite 101) is the 4th clinic location for OSM. This new office which is centrally located in southeast Michigan provides vital access for patients throughout metro Detroit as the demand for eye care services continues to increase along with the incidence of secondary causes of eye disease such as diabetes and hypertension, both of which have a high prevalence in metro Detroit. In addition to Dr. Chow, Dr. Bianca Kizy, who specializes in Cataract Surgery and Comprehensive Ophthalmology, will also see patients at the Southfield facility.
